- •Confirm the exact location and meeting point
Connect
During Meetings
- •Always meet in public places first (Student Union, Library)
- •Bring a friend or let someone know where you're going
- •Meet during daylight hours when possible
- •Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, leave
- •Take photos of the space for your records

Payment Safety
- •Use Setld's secure payment system for connection fees
- •Never pay large amounts upfront without seeing the space
- •Get receipts for all payments made
- •Avoid cash transactions when possible
- •Report any requests for unusual payment methods

Red Flags
- •Prices significantly below market rate
- •Pressure to pay immediately without viewing
- •Reluctance to meet in person or video call
- •Poor quality or limited photos of the space
- •Requests for payment outside of Setld platform
